Yikes that's a tall order... To start out with I suppose you'd look
for a good parser, and then start associating sound clips with
syllables. Most Speech Synth's work by using the "100 word's library"
and then adding to its own vocabulary by figuring out which words
rhyme with the ones it already knows. Back when I got my first sound
card there was a booklet on this topic that came along with it...
perhaps ESS technologies might have a web site that has this booklet
online or whatever.
