I have MS-DOS 6.something and I reading through the FAQ on making
memory available to compile programs with DJGPP - it says over 8 megs
is advisable. I just installed 32 megs of SIMMS chips but my BIOS
doesn't seem to want to recognize any more than the first 8 meg. In
addition, Go32-v2 doesn't either.
Am I stuck upgrading to a 32bit Microsoft OS in order to get the extra
24 meg recognized, or is there something that can be done, perhaps a
BIOS/OS patch that I can run?
This is for an older 486DX, DOS 6.22, Win 3.1.
Thx.
