How come I only see the string when I exit graphics mode >again? stdout is buffered under djgpp. this means that output is only sent when the buffer is full, or when your program quits. use a fflush(stdout); after your printf to force it, or setbuf(stdout,0); at the beginning of your program. -- pf / lightspeed / green grapes i use hotmail. don't hate me!
