I'd like to know what is the fastest method for putting an x-sized virtual buffer into video-memory. Reading from a book: "PC Game Programming Explorer" the Dirty Rectangles technique seems the fastest (Only copy portions that were used), but I'd like to know if there is even a faster method? Also if I translate an "unsigned char *" to an "long long *" will I get a faster copy time? because I'll be only copying 1/4 the data? I read somewhere that this is true? -- ********************************************************************** * Sahab Yazdani * Let the Dragon ride again on the * * Thornhill Secondary School * winds of Time - Wheel of Time * ********************************************************************** * http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Bunker/8994/index.html * * Click the link to visit my portion of The Neverhood * **********************************************************************
