No on the contrary, but it is safer to use / sets errno when failing.
(I hope I say it right, Eli Zaretskii (as always) knows more about
this than I do)

That's OK. the 386 and 486(SX) don't have a FPU, so that could be
important debugging your problem, but as the problem has been solved...
