This has come up before. I suggest to search the DJGPP newsgroup
archives at http://www.delorie.com/djgpp/mail-archives/, for keywords
like "inter-process communications".
One way is the clipboard, but it is relatively slow.
What's wrong with files, anyway? Did you try it or just decided that
it's no good?

Not AFAIK. Of course, you can always write a TSR that installs before
Windows (from AUTOEXEC.BAT) and use it to pass data between different
virtual machines.
