Hi there!
I have been using Allegro for some time and there is this little addon
package called DEGUI (can be found on most allegro mirror sites, and
sites carrying copies of allegro, possibly even on the allegro
homepage). What DEGUI does is that it simply takes over control when
the allegro draws it's screens and replaces the GUI with a windows 95
looking one.
There are still some bugs in the version (as stated in the readme
file), but for an experienced programmer fixing such problems on each
project should be no problem. Code is also relatively fast.
If you need any help installing or locating this addon package let me
know and I'll assist you to my best.
By the way I tried to send this message to your private address but
your server replied with an error message about your account, so I
figured I'd send a copy to the newsgroup as well.
Hope this helps.
