BMRT is a pseudo-freeware clone of the renderers used by Pixar to
create "Toy Story". It includes C libraries that generate the RIB
file format, as described in THE RENDERMAN COMPANION. The Linux
version has two Linux libraries, libribout.a and slcargs.a. The
Windows version has Visual C++ 5.0 versions of those two libraries.
I only have VC++4, which can't read the libraries, and I don't want
to pay a rather large amount of money to upgrade to 5.0. I've also
tried installing Linux, but my new computer and Red Hat don't get
along. Is there a way to use either kind of library with DJGPP?
I've only programmed in C for simple school projects, so I haven't
used libraries much, and I'm at my wit's end trying to figure this
out...
Please mail me, because I don't look at the newsgroup much.
