DJGPP programs run under DPMI hosts. In DOS the default DPMI host (shipped
with djgpp) is CWSDPMI, it supports up to 256Mb of virtual + 256Mb of
physical (if I remmember well). By default I think the limit is 128Mb of
maximun swap, so in systems with 30Mb of physical (and enough space in
disk) you'll get 158Mb (more or less what you see).
Under W9x the DPMI host is Wincrap itself so the limits are impossed by some
dead brain people from M$.
The limit of the W9x DPMI host is 64Mb but by default is less, you must
edit the preferences of your DOS box and change default by 65535 in the DPMI
setting.
That's very well explained in the FAQ.
