Having a teething problem with Allegro's 'set_gfx_mode' function ... it refuses
to set up any SVGA mode on my video card. Tried UniVBE and that doesn't
do the job.
I've got an S3 ViRGE DX based card and although I'm trying to set it to work
in a standard VESA mode (640 x 480), it won't work. In fact, it will only work
in VGA mode (320 x 200).
I've set up the colour depth prior to making the call to 'set_gfx_mode' but all
I get is a text screen when I execute the program.
Can anyone help? If not, I'll have to try and figure out how to use SciTech's
MGL and I'm not really looking forward to doing that just yet ...
Regards,
David
