you seem to be confused...
example 17 doesn't come with the compiler, it's an allegro thingie.
allegro.h should not be in the examples directory, it should be in
djgpp/include/
did you compile the allegro library? did you link it with the example?
how are you trying to compile this, manually or with the makefile?
