I use 2.8.1 on Linux almost exclusively. I haven't yet troubled to
install the DJGPP version. So far, I've seen only one bug: a
complicated declaration in the WINE source was apparently mis-parsed.
(I say "apparently" because I'm not even sure it's correct, though it
worked with 2.7.2.x.) Also, I have heard that `-march=pentiumpro' has
some bugs, so you might avoid that. OTOH, many bugs from 2.7.x are
fixed, and some interesting new features are added.

You could also read gnu.gcc.bug for a broader view, though remember that
of those bug reports, many are inapplicable to DJGPP, bogus, or only
appear in extremely obscure cases.
