Try
typedef struct TAD {
int code;
struct TAD *next; // note the *
struct TAD *prior; // noter the *
} Tad;
Tad myTad;
Or, more simply:
struct Tad {
int code;
Tad *next;
Tad *prior;
};
Tad MyTad;
