This is a known limitation of the COFF debugging info, see section 12.8 of
the DJGPP FAQ list. Stabs debugging info avoids this problem (I think GCC
2.8.1 supports it in the stock distribution), so use -gstabs option when
compiling.

This sounds like a genuine GCC bug. Please read the section about
reporting bugs in the GCC manual and post a bug report to gnu.gcc.bug
like that section explains.
