The file would be located in the bin. You also need to make sure that you have the djgpp.env set correctly in your autoexec.bat There are a number of things that could have caused this. I had an odd occurence with this also because of a couple of spaces added in the autoexec.bat where I set the path to djgpp.env and that messed it all up. But with the help of John Aldrich, I got it fixed. I suggest you get DJVERIFY from http://www.cs.com/fighteer/ and then post the report. -- ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Jerome webmaster AT htmlhelp DOT hypermart DOT net The Homepage Helper- http://htmlhelp.hypermart.net Sal wrote in message <355278f9 DOT 0 AT news2 DOT ibm DOT net>... >when I try to compile a program written in the rhide editor for djgpp I get >this error message: > >installation error, cannot exec 'cpp' : no such file or directory > >Where is this file???
