To get a visual bell for bash I should add the
following line to my _inputrc file:

set bell-style visible

But this don't work (I get a normal bell), I
only can set bell-style to none. Is the visual
bell not suported or am I doing something wrong?

And how do i set a visual bell for man? I know
I can set a visual bell for less with less -q,
but how to get this to man?
