The best solution I know (and use myself) is a program named SCRIPT.
The DJGPP FAQ mentions it, as well as other solutions to this problem,
in section 6.10 and gives a pointer to where it can be found on the
net.

With SCRIPT, you can both see *and* save the material to a file :-).
