Try:

FOLDOC: The Free On-Line Dictionary of Computing
http://nightflight.com/foldoc/

Searches using these keywords yield reasonable definitions:

compiler
linker
make
preprocessor

Unfortunately, project doesn't seem to turn up a hit, but that's ok
'cause it's a specific term only when used by an 'IDE' (look up
"interactive development environment"!) and its specific meaning in that
context should be in the documentation for the IDE you're using.
