After a low point in my efforts to build an version of rcs that worked with network drives, a collegue found a binary distribution of the rcs tools that do the job for us. http://rfs63.berkeley.edu/users/elf/rcsdos/ Apparently they are DGJPP 2.0 binaries and have allowed us to continue on in quest for a version control system between UNIX and DOS. According to the docs it says it was built by patching the official rcs source code and compiling it with the following: DJGPP v2.0 BETA 3 or better GNU C compiler for DJGPP v2.6.3 GNU Make and other binary utilities (DJGPP BETA 2 has the necessary ones) GNU Diff v2.6 (v2.7.1 may be required and is supplied in utils directory) I was trying to build rcs from source with vesion 2.01 development system. I wonder if something changed? Matthew
