Are you talking about problems compiling the programs themselves, or
the lexer/parser they generate?
I haven't personally used bison on Win32, but I've had absolutely NO
problem using flex and byacc.

flex and byacc work quite well for me -- If memory serves, I did have
to do a bit of editing on the flex source code to get it to compile,
though I don't remember what, since that was probably 3 years ago or
so. If you want, I can email you the modified source code.
I don't recall making _any_ changes to byacc to get it to work; IIRC,
there was already a directory containing what was needed under Win32.
