Known bug, resulting from 2.8.1 being installed somewhere that Allegro
doesn't think to look for it. A new version of Allegro has been uploaded
that fixes this. Alternatively, you can find the place in the Allegro
Makefile that looks for `cc1.exe' and change it to `gcc.exe'.

But when I changed the same fopen command and compiled the program using
GNU GPP and MAKE I got the same result as before !
Can you be more specific as to what this program is, and exactly what the
message says?
Is it possible there's another `fopen' or equivalent somewhere?

Depends on how you define "dialect". Unix has significant differences from
DOS which affect programming. DJGPP tries to help, but can't take care of
everything.

In which case it would be nice if you didn't put the extremely annoying
anti-spam in your address.
