Found out what the problem was.. i had the library linking before the obj 
instead of after... now why couldn't it do the normal natural thing and 
give me a damn compile error rather than giving me a segv. *sigh* well 
thanks anyway people :) it's been enjoyable destroying what possible 
credibility i may ever achieve :)
