this is getting somewhat off-topic, so please accept my apologies.
i have been posting on the usenet since early 1994. during this time, i
never used a fake e-mail address. i do get spam/uce regularly (0-4 every
day.) i'll agree that these are annoying. but the way to fight these
people is not use fake e-mail addresses and prevent people who might
legitimately e-mail you (maybe i am too dumb, but i cannot tell what
paul shirley's real address is by looking at the 'anti-spammed'
version.) instead, contact their ISP's, report their activites. in
