It's almost definitely a bug in your code (unless you are using GCC 2.7.2
which had a bug in strength reduction). Try to find it. I have no idea
whether it has anything to do with how you interface to NASM because I don't
know how you do it. (hint, hint) Post some examples if you can't find the
problem.
