The DLX dynamic linker for DJGPP is one of the first full-featured
dynamic linkers for this truly awesome language. In keeping with the free
software concept, it can be used without paying a cent (even though it is
not truly freeware), even in commercial programs.
The question now is, who is using it, and for what. If you have
used DLX for any program, are planning to use it in the future or have just
hacked around with it, please E-Mail me and let me know what you are doing
with it.
Also, there is one concern that I have about DJGPP: OpenGL is not
supported. This must be fixed, and soon. This lack was enough to lose us
Id Software. I have attempted to get licencing from SGI, but to no avail.
If anyone out there has any ideas about the port (even a complete rewrite
that follows the spec is fine), contact me immediately. As i have said:
this situation must be fixed.
Finally, if anybody is looking for somebody to help in a programming
project, feel free to write me. I don't mind at all, and even if I can't
help with the project I'll at least give some advice.
Sincerely,
Luke Bishop,
Nanosoft.
PS. E-mail me directly, as I do not spend much time on the NG.
