I've never done it on a PC, only on a Unix machine, so no guarantees, > eh? ) You can guarantee it. GNU `tar' is ported to DJGPP (v2gnu/tar112b.zip) and it supports compressed .tar.gz archives. DJTAR which comes with the basic DJGPP development environment can also unzip and untar such archives.
