: I have heard some talk about people using RAMDISKs to speed up the : compilation process. I have 32MB RAM, and I'm using a 4MB disk cache with delayed write. By adding also a 4MB RAM disk, I have not been able to see any performance gain - so I'm waiting for someone to demonstrate that a RAM disk is actually an advantage. For testing, I used a multi-file job that took 4 minutes to compile on a P200 under djgpp, and about 13% faster under Linux/gcc. Kind regards, Anton
