Why don't you use EMX-GCC on OS/2? it has support for OS/2 multitasking,
you can even build XFree86 (the UNIX-oriented free X server) and Apache
HTTPd (as well as other UNIX programs) on OS/2 if you're on an HPFS
partition and you have EMX-GCC.
