It would also be nice if someone could merge the ASPI support from
Les Miskell's (sp?) old version of GNU tar for MSDOS, so that SCSI tape
devices could be used. I think his version also handles remote tape
access (on Unix hosts).
The old sources (Turbo C?) and binaries still seem to be available
under:
ftp://ftp.mcs.com/mcsnet.users/les/dos-gnutar/
I think the only real problem with this version is that it doesn't
handle long filenames (it was written before VFAT & Win95).
