This could be because these dos executables expect an argv[0] in the form
"X:\PATH\FILE.EXE". For e.g., if a program has a configuration file that
is meant to be in the same directory as the executable, then the path of
the config file will be created using argv[0].
If this is indeed the cause, then you could look around the bash
documentation for a solution. Or perhaps modify the bash sources.
