First quarter 1998, ObjectSpace will release Version 2.1 of 
its C++ Component Series.  This significant release contains 
an enhanced Thread<ToolKit> package that includes the features 
listed below.
 
- A thread group abstraction that allows you to group threads 
  and then control them as a single entity.

- A thread pool abstraction that provides thread creation and 
  task-queuing capabilities.

- A futures abstraction that represents and synchronizes access 
  to the future result of an asynchronous operation.

- A condition variable abstraction that allows testing and 
  synchronization of an arbitrary condition under the control 
  of a mutex.
