Just wanted to put in my two cents to say that I really like the way
Allegro has been shaping up lately! I can't wait for 3.0 to come out...
I might give in and just d/l the most recent WIP version, but I probably
don't have time to tinker with it now that I'm on my second week back to
school >:(
Btw, I was actually thinking of how cool (albeit useless for most
people) it would be to have functions in Allegro to control the keyboard
LEDs. Imagine my excitement when I saw that, lo and behold, "Sean Gugler
added a routine for changing the keyboard LED state." =)
It also looks like someone <nudge nudge> =) finally gave in and put in
the stuff for the left and right ctrl & alt keys. It's also great that
there is some MIDI callback stuff now; I can't wait to start doing
MIDI-event driven code, or maybe even the other way around (like
LucasArts' IMUSE system!). I also noticed that you can now use .IBK
files for the Adlib/SB FM MIDI driver (which reminds me, can you use
.BNK files with it too yet? I don't remember)
Later everyone!
P.S. Thanx to Shawn Hargreaves and everyone else who has contributed to
Allegro! I'm proud to say that I have had the opportunity to share ideas
with everyone in the DJGPP community. All of you out there who ask
questions and especially all of you out there who patiently answer them
are what truly makes DJGPP the best compiler out there, IMHO =)
