In article <3424B070 DOT 29A5 AT sprynet DOT com>, DigitalFx <digitalfx AT sprynet DOT com> writes >A friend has offered to sell me his Creative Labs 3D Blaster for $50 >still in box and all that good stuff. My question is, has anyone hacked >up a API or something to use it alongside djgpp? I just want the basic >texture mapping in the hardware. I'd hate to have to go to Windows just >to get 3d acceleration. Hmmm. Is he paying *you* the $50? It's not a particularly good card... In fact, I suspect the faster Pentium chips will allow you to outperform it in software. It's certainly not rated at anything like the same quality as the 3DFX or Videologic chipsets. -- Sean Timarco Baggaley (Scrivenor, Webmaestro and occasional programmer) eMail: stb AT solarflair DOT demon DOT co DOT uk
