Subject:	A shy question: what is Allegro WIP?

I downloaded Allegro 2.2 some months ago. Since then I read a lot about
Allegro WIP. (I suppose WIP means work in progress, and it is different from
the 'common' version?) Where can I get it? Is it worth getting?
