I'm looking for any information someone might be willing to share
concerning controlling modems for void recording, ie. a voice mail
system.  I just want to create a simple answering machine.

AFAIK, this switch is new with DOS 7.0, and it only works when COMMAND.COM
is run from the DOS box under Windows (I'm not sure about the last part).
