Yes!
I'm one of those unfortunates stuck with the IRIX 5.3 IDO. I know that the
MIPSpro 7.0 compiler for IRIX 6.x beats the sh** out of GCC on the R10K
platform, but I'm using IRIX 5.3 on an R5K, and GCC is significantly (20%)
faster at full-hilt optimization.
