Umm, DJGPP is comprised of add-ons if you haven't noticed..  Therefore you
can't discount RSXNTDJ as an extension...  Similarly, you can't argue
against Cyrix, since they're both a port of the same program and they're
both free...  You can use the same code on both of them.  Also, DJGPP has
WAY more utilities than MSVC.

: MSVC can do everything DJGPP does, and more: windows programmming, plus
: a lot of other goodies.

You are, however discounting the best compiler around nowadays IMHO...
Watcom C/C++ 11.0 blows away MSVC and edges out DJGPP...  DJGPP, however
is free and its code is highly portable so it is also a very viable
option.

: Besides the Game Quake, professionals don't use free compileres

Maybe you don't realize that you're discounting one of the most popular
and powerful games in the history of the PC as irreverant.
