Well, RMS wrote 'indent' too (the C beautifier) if that means anything :)
(I use 'indent' all the time :) But of course the real biggies are Emacs
and GCC.
RMS didn't write Unix, but everyone's saying that the GNU Hurd is the most
innovative new OS design of the past ten years (it's the first truly
functional multiserver microkernel architecture that has made it past the
lab). Except RMS didn't write that. The Hurd team is led by Roland McGrath
(AFAIK) who wrote GNU Make with RMS.
