The code in Allegro was written from a preliminary version of the spec
dated April 1996. Kendall Bennett (from SciTech) sent me a copy of this
when I asked him about it, but requested that I not redistribute it
because it hadn't yet been officially ratified. That was a long time
ago, though, and I'd be very surprised if it isn't publically available
by now. Try writing to SciTech and ask them where you can get a copy...
