YES! 

I have programmed during hours with GNAT (the Ada compiler which uses
GCC as back-end) without any crash, after having installed Novell DOS's
EMM386 (v. 3.1) ! For those who are interested, the patch is at

Caldera 's EMM386 is v. 3.06.
