Just incase some more info would help, here's some:

I used MS-DOS 6.22, with cwsdpmi
6 MB ram drive,
6 MB disk cache

my computer is a DEC 486dx4/100 24MG ram.

That's all I can think to say.  Incase someone missed the origional
post, I've been having problems with either gcc or rhide (I suspect
rhide, but haven't confirmed 100% yet) hanging.  When it hangs it also
has a tendancy to print crap on my printer.
