Try www.microsoft.com/msdn, www.microsoft.com/wsj (Windows System
Journal), www.vcdj.com (Visual C++ Developers Journal), www.javasoft.com
(Java, an alternative to C/C++), www.cygnus.com (the GNU-Win32 project).
Also monitor the comp.os.ms-windows.programmer.* news group hierarchy
for the monthly postings of the FAQ.
Windows programming is generally never "free" in the GNU sense. As a
consequence people rarely do it over the internet.
