Yes, I have gcc. Even a recent version! And gdb (compiled that myself
from the latest sources), GNU make, but not (until now) the binutils.
Many GNU packages can use the basic 'cc', though; I don't know if that's
true of the binutils as well. I'd expect so, since IIRC that includes
things like ln...
I generally go to the 'official' site at MIT, because not only is it
faster for me (weird net connectivity from this site) but in my experience
the delay in updating the mirrors always means that I get the slightly
out of date version from them (one day before they update sort of thing)...
