Next PROBLEM: Format not supported on drive D:
The problem is that the HD of this PC is compressed using Stacker3.1 .
Stacker makes a new directory d: with uncompressed information about
the unstacked volume c: .
The problem is that the user deleted the files on that drive (after
saving them on a diskette luckely).
The PC didn't startup anymore unless I used a bootdisk and then again it
didn't recognize the d: drive.
Message : Not ready reding drive D
Abort, Retry, Fail?
When I try to access a nonexisting drive, ex. e:, it says:
Message : invalid drive specification
So I think there must be something in, about or on, that drive d:
Support people from stacker advised me to do:
format d:\
or format d:
Therefore I needed FORMAT.COM of DOS6.0
But now I get this message:
Format not supported on drive D:
Format terminated.
When I go: format d:\
I get the message: Parameter format not correct - d:\
So I think that that is a misunderstanding from the support people.
Can somebody give me some further advise please.
We really need to get to the files of this computer.
