Bueno, al grano: Yo tambien tengo una Trident AGI9440 con 1mb de VRAM, pero
no tengo una pentium sino una 5x86 de 133mhz (es parecida a la 486DX),
tiene PCI y todo eso. No creo que sea la tarjeta, yo ademas tambien tengo
el UniVbe 5.3a y con o sin el UniVbe el demo anda casi perfectamente. Dije
casi porque cuando pongo Trident y el "Page Fliping" en 640x480 y otras
resoluciones me pasa como que se ven dobles las cosas. Esto no pasa si le
digo que use la Vesa 1.x o la Vesa 2.0. Parece que allegro tiene un error
cuando utiliza la tarjeta a nivel de registros (directamente). Me parece
que allegro 2.2 no es el problema en el caso tuyo. El problema es (y no se
porque) el vsync() es para modo X y 13h. Al no poderse usar el vsync() en
SVGA puede aparecer algun "flickering", pero no se nota mucho en mi
maquina, ademas al usar el page fliping parece que se ajusta con el monitor
y anda muy bien. Cuando uso el dirty rectangles tambien se ve muy bien.
Bueno, creo que no te ayude en nada pero queria darte mi informacion. Sobre
Shawn, creo que no está en el mailing list (o si?), mejor mandale tu carta
a la direccion de él, (busca por ahi). Bueno, un saludo vecino!
