What GCC the one reduced by DJ under the v2gnu directory or the original "raw"
from the FSF directly?
Use the DJ cooked one.

Get the one from simtelnet/gnu/djgpp/v2gnu from any of the Simtel mirrors.

As Eli said me some time ago: in general is ok using djtar -x xxx.tgz. But the
version that you need is simply ziped.
