When I use Ispell in a DOS box under Windows 3.11, I get a zero length
file as the result. I only started using it yesterday and was somewhat
disconcerted when it killed my input file. I was spelling a Latex2e
document and used the following arguments (after the initial run :-( ):
Ispell -t -b -C xxxx.tex
It runs fine when I am not in Windows. Naturally, trying to debug using
GDB causes a SIGSE... fault under the Windows DOS box, so I can't try
and track down what is happening myself. It is no big deal, since I can
get things working if I am prepared to exit Windows and spell out there.
Just thought there might be a patch or something out there.
BTW, I have all the latest files (I even re-downloaded everything
yesterday and reinstalled, all to no avail. The problem occurs whether
using 4Dos or Bash in the DOS box (didn't think to try plain old
command.com, I wonder.....).
For any direct replies, please use peterm AT cae DOT com DOT au, as
peterm AT zip DOT com DOT au is my "lunchtime" address :-), the other is my work
address, so I can reply faster.
Thanks
Peter
