Use gxx to compile C++ programs, like this: gxx prog1.cpp -o prog1.exe cc1plus is just part of the compiler. It doesn't handle comments or includes, assembling, or linking. You need to use gxx (gcc for C programs) to get all the parts you need to do the job.
