Subject: | About quoting previous messages
|
Please try to trim down the quotes of previous messages when you reply
to a message. We've all seen the message before; we only need a line
or two to remind us which message you're replying to. I've seen a lot
of messages that are 90% quoted messages and 10% original content.
For the most part, this is nothing more than a waste of bandwidth -
mine and everyone else's.
Please also take the time to update the subject of the message if the
original subject no longer applies.
Exceptions, of course, for when you're helping someone with code and
you need to quote the appropriate lines of code.
Thanks,
DJ
