  Hi you !
  I'm searching for a book to learn C, but I need something like a
  reference for the
  C Standarts(afaik there's ANSI for C and AT&T for C++), because I'm
  not a completely beginner, as I've got some basics in programming C
  from reading the
  djgpp sources and from various beginner books.
  I tried to find something like that in my local bookstore, but they
  have only something for certain compilers(e.g. The Borland C++ 5.0
  reference) so I cant get along with them.
  As language I would prefer german, but english is ok, anyway.
  Can you help me ?
  (It would be fine if you could tell me where to get/order the books,
  especially if you are outside from germany - and the most of you
  will be, I guess - and the price I can expect to pay for the books)
  Thank you all for reading !

go to http://www.amazon.com (or w/ out the www)
It is the best book store on the web. And as far as a book C++
interactive course (CPPIC) by Waite group press is excellent and non
compiler specific.
